Deletion of your data: We don't want your data if we can't do anything with it
If you start a free scan, but do not associate an email address, your data will be deleted after 30 days.
If you run a free scan, including sharing your email address, but unsubscribe from our marketing emails, your data will be deleted after 30 days.
If you sign up for a paid plan and would like your data deleted, please reach out to us.
Our Goal
We want you and your data to be as safe as possible.
Data we collect on you
We keep your credentials when you create an account so that you can continue to access your account. We keep what you submit on our contact page. We keep data that you submit when you add a profile on our site for the purpose of getting your data removed from data broker websites. We keep data you email us and give us other ways, over the phone, and via secure communication platforms. We keep your marketing preferences. We keep your usage information. We track you on our website to improve user experience See the Analytics section below. We don't want to benefit from having you on our website aside from when you become our client. This website is not directed at individuals under 13 years of age in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The website host collects IP data which is stored in a log. These logs are not powered by online trackers or anything like that. We delete your data 1 year after you cease paying for our services unless required by law (financial transactions).
Analytics
We use Plausible to track how our website is used. Plausible is an open-source, privacy-respecting website analytics platform. Plausible does not collect any personal data or personally identifiable information (PII). They do not use cookies. My Data Removal owns the data and Plausible does not use data from this website for any other purposes. They are not an adverstising platform. They do not track people across devices or other websites or apps.
We also use Clarity an open-source, GDPR and CCPA compliant analytics tool.
Chat Function
We use tawk.to as a chat option to better engage with our customers. They use cookies to better help us engage with you via their platform. They provide some visitor analytics based on your device and browser characteristics.
Who we share your data with
We share your data with databrokers, people search website, and privacy services (the sites listed on our covered sites page). We can't remove your data from their sites without sharing it with them. That's how it works. It is often data that is already on their websites. It is usually your name, address, phone number, email, etc.
We do not share your data with anyone else. We don't share with advertisers, social media, marketers, or anyone similar. We value privacy.
How we use your data
We use data you provide to us for the services you request: we opt you out of people search sites and data broker services. We sign you up for do not call and similar services. We delete log data after 6 months. We only keep financial transaction data as required by law for fraud purposes. We use your data for research and development to develop new product and service and to improve existing services (e.g., to add a new site to opt you out of).
Who we sell your data to:
Nobody.
Law enforcement
We don't share your data with anyone unless compelled by law with a valid court order. We share the minimum we can. We have not had to share any data with law enforcement to date.
Links
We link to other websites. While on their sites you are subject to their privacy policies. We cannot control what happens on their sites. We sometimes use affiliate links for other services. We try to be transparent about it.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may change this Privacy Policy at any time by posting the changed version and the effective date. We may notify you via email if you have signed up for our services. Your continued use of our services after the posting of an updated Privacy Policy indicates your assent to the updated Privacy Policy.
